Because it’s been ages.
- My name is Katie.
- Or, to be more specific, Jennifer Katherine.
- If it makes you super happy, you can call me Jennifer (or any variation). Most people like to do that for a few days when they first find out. Apparently it’s humorous to them that I go by my middle name.
- I look like this:

- This is a video of my face.
- This is my ship list. It’s also just the majority of my fandoms, though not all of them.
- Pottermore stuff and things. (Friend me!)
- You should know that The Social Network always wins. Always.
- I am currently 21 years old.
- My birthday is February 23rd.
- I live in St. Louis, Missouri. In the midwest of the United States.
- Exciting I know.
- I care about little else in the world as much as I care about someday living in New York City.
- I have no idea what else I want to do with my life.
- These people are my soulmates + + you should follow them.
- I’m bisexual.
- Admitting that is a recent enough thing for me that it feels extremely odd putting it on here.
- I spent literally years of my life saying over and over again that I was straight. For a good chunk of said time, I actually did believe this. But I realized I was bi ages before I finally said it outloud.
- My family doesn’t know.
- It’s odd that I don’t consider myself like… “in the closet.” Because I don’t feel ashamed. Not of the fact that I’m attracted to girls at least. I’m just waiting for the giant “I told you so’s” to roll in. Also, most of my family members have some latent homophobia going on. I know they wouldn’t condemn me, or even care much after the initial shock. But telling them just seems like a bother. I honestly figure I’ll wait until I fall in love with a girl. Supposing that happens.
- As you’ve probably realized, I tend to ramble.
- I’m an atheist.
- On that note, I should mention that I went to private Catholic school from preschool through senior year of high school.
- My high school was also all girls.
- And the best place in the universe.
- I am now laughing at myself for calling the all girls Catholic private high school that I went to the best place in the universe right after talking about the fact that I’m bisexual.
- Ha.
- Yeah no. It’s the best place in the world because it made me into the person I am, gave me strength to be honest, introduced me to some of the best friends I could ever hope to have, made me realize that “feminist” is not a dirty word but in fact something I was but didn’t have a name for, forced me to realize things about myself, both good and bad, helped me become comfortable with those things. Everyone grows up in high school. Maybe I would have been close to the same person no matter where I went. But that’s not how it feels. That place gave me courage. It made me content with myself. I cannot begin to express to you how much it means to me.
- My favorite book/fictional thing period is Gone With The Wind.
- Scarlett O’Hara is my favorite fictional character ever (by a very large margin).
- The Social Network is my favorite movie.
- Followed by Brick, The Dark Knight, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Heathers, and a few others.
- I watch a whole fucking lot of movies. And love a lot of them. But it wasn’t until I saw The Social Network that I could, without questioning myself, point to one and call it my favorite.
- I am also extremely attached to everything Joss Whedon has ever created.
- Harry Potter was my childhood.
- Given that this is Tumblr, I’m sure no one is shocked by that.
- I joined Tumblr because of Glee. I wouldn’t say I now hate the show, but at the end of the episodes I’m more likely to be angry than happy. So that’s fun.
- Nowadays, I mostly post things about The Social Network and Supernatural. With a generous heaping of Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Jossverse thrown in.
- At the moment I have 540 followers. Which, um, since you are the ones reading this. Hi. (:
- I overuse keysmashes and this emoticon: xD
- I have never had a serious relationship.
- This account has been under three usernames ever. When I first joined I was a345jkla, which became recallthename quickly after. For a little while right around the time Deathly Hallows pt 2 came out, I changed to andtoyou. But recallthename is home and recallthename I shall stay.
- My blog title has also been pretty damn constant. Again, around DH2 time, I changed it to “If you have stuck with Harry until the very end”. But “Give Me Sidewalk City Shadows” is home.
- I have something called Crohn’s disease. If you care, google it. Or listen to Hank Green’s song “Ulcerative Colitis”. My disease is a lot like his.
- I read a lot of fanfiction. All of it is in The Social Network. Or well, almost all of it. If a day goes by in which I don’t read any TSN fic, it is a very odd day.
- I also read a lot in general. You know, real physical books. Most recently I finished The Fault in Our Stars. I’m currently (very slowly) reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
- I’m currently unemployed.
- I’m a vegetarian.
- I am extremely sarcastic by nature.
- My childhood was filled with scary movies, scary stories, obsession with Halloween, and general spookiness.
- Despite this, I still scare really easily.
- But I love it.
- I’m terrified of heights.
- Which means I go out of my way to put myself in situations where I’m high off the ground. Because I love being scared/am a masochist.
- At some point in my life I will go bungee jumping. And hopefully also sky diving. Though it’s harder to fit my head around the latter.
- I am a very, very odd mix of cynical and idealistic.
- The majority of the time I don’t think I’ll ever get married.
- I can see myself marrying a woman much easier than a man.
- I can’t really explain that one.
- Um. Er. This is a lot of text.
- But hey, this is a personal blog in the end.
- And um. Yeah. Hi. Thanks for following. And reading this. And stuff.
- AWKBERG.
- Okay I’m finished I promise.
- Have any of you ever noticed how fun bullet points are?
- I mean.
- Really.
- Everything’s so neat and organized.
- WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT.
- NOW YOU KNOW ME.
- THIS IS ME.
- I’M ODD.
- BYE.
